Hi Aaron – a question, more than a comment:
I downloaded Pivot and put it on my VMS webserver (WASD). I did everything suggested by the Pivot website, except for changing the file permissions to SOGW:RWED – after all, I’m a VMS bigot!
The index.php file renders as a text file, but the PHP stuff does not execute. I do have PHP on my webserver, and other PHP files work fine. Was there any customization that you needed to do to get the weblog “working”?
Thanks,
Brad

I’ve decided to pursue this question with the Info-WASD folks, since it looks like a mapping issue.

Brad,
It does sound like a mapping problem, although I’m curious why other scripts work but not this one. One other thing to check is to make sure your PHP.INI is properly set up, although those are more “tweak” settings (e.g., enable GD for picture editing, allow for file uploads, spec the max size for an upload, etc.), although PCRE might be a mandatory module, IIRC.
Oh, and watch out for ”$” in your path, this script can not handle that at all.

Brad,\ne sure to have all PHP mappings – in the right place – in HTTP$MAP.CONF.\nIf it’s a mapping issue, use the WATCH facility to locate the problem. One of those things that makes WASD the best webserver
